New Feature: Signed Contracts Automatically Attached to Deal Won Emails

Enhance your post-signature workflow with an attached signed proposal.

What’s new

You can now automatically attach the fully signed PDF contract to the final Deal Won email.

Previously, once the last party signed, stakeholders were notified that the deal was closed and had to return to the DealRoom to download the document. Now, the signed proposal is delivered directly to their inbox as soon as the deal is won.

Why use it

  • Save time by eliminating manual downloads and follow-ups.
  • Give Legal and Finance teams instant access to the signed document.
  • Create a smooth and complete closing experience for your customers.

How to enable

  1. Go to Advanced Settings > DealRoom Settings.
  2. Enable “Attach proposal document to ‘DealRoom: Fully Signed’ email”.
  3. Enjoy a seamless workflow for every signed deal.

New Feature: Expiration Date by Formula

We’ve enhanced Playbook with a new capability that offers both admins and sellers more flexibility when setting proposal expiration dates.

Instead of relying solely on a fixed expiration rule, you can now dynamically calculate the expiration date based on a numeric input from the Playbook.

How It Works

A new "Expiration Date" option is now available in the Playbook settings. Admins can configure it in one of two ways:

  • Default: Applies the standard expiration period defined in your system settings.
  • Custom: Links to a numeric Playbook question that determines how many days should be added to the proposal creation date.

Additionally, there’s an optional setting that lets sellers manually adjust the expiration date—providing the perfect balance between automation and flexibility.



New Permission: External Signing

Admins can now manage whether users are allowed to sign the proposal externally.
This gives admins more control over who’s authorized to complete the signing process.

To configure, go to: User Management> Permissions tab.


Expanded Parameter Support

We’ve expanded how parameters can be used, making them more flexible across the platform.
In addition to output documents, parameters are now supported in approval workflows and submit validation.

What’s new:

  • Autocomplete for parameters in workflows and submit validation.
  • A unified Parameters Page (replacing the old Document Parameters page) for managing all parameters.
  • Automatic migration from [DocumentParameter.X] to [Parameter.X] for existing setups.
  • The old Document Parameters page is now marked as deprecated, with a notice and redirect.

These changes make parameters easier to manage and keep their usage consistent across the platform.

Product Hierarchy Configuration

We’re excited to announce a new enhancement to the product catalog: Product Hierarchy Configuration! This feature allows you to organize and manage your product catalog with greater clarity and flexibility, making it easier to structure relationships between different products.

With the Product Hierarchy feature, admins can:

  • Define Relationships – Establish clear parent-child connections between products, ensuring a well-structured and organized catalog. This simplifies the grouping of related products and streamlines the selection process.
  • Enforce Mandatory Products – Ensure that essential products are always included when configuring solutions. This helps maintain consistency and prevents crucial components from being overlooked.
  • Add Alternatives – Provide flexibility by offering substitute or alternative product options. This allows users to choose the best fit while preserving the integrity of the overall product setup.

When a product hierarchy is enabled in Playbooks, sellers follow a structured product selection process instead of manually choosing from an open product catalog. This ensures that required products are included, alternatives are selected correctly, and optional products are available as needed.

We’ve introduced purpose-built updates to support API-driven quoting:

New Playbook Type: Playbook API 

Built for API-based quote creation with:

  • No question dependencies or hidden logic. 
  • External pricing engine and data source support.
  • Validation of all API-provided inputs.

Quote Type API Configuration

  • API-Only Generation: Quotes are exclusively created through API using Playbook API.
  • Limited UI Adjustments: Quotes can be viewed and adjusted in the UI (discounts, certain fields),, but playbook selections cannot be changed.
  • Supports Real-Time Pricing: Ensures accurate configuration updates in dynamic pricing environments.

Example Use Cases:

  • E-commerce Portals: Automatically generate and display pricing and quotes within customer-facing portals for a real-time buying experience.
  • In-Product Quoting (PLG): Enable self-service quotes directly from your product interface, with DealHub managing pricing logic in the background.
  • Automated Renewal Workflows: Trigger renewal quotes without manual involvement, ensuring consistency and faster contract cycles.
  • Partner Platforms: Allow external partners to generate and submit quotes securely via API, while maintaining governance and control.
  • Custom Approval Flows: Integrate quote actions into custom approval or CRM workflows, reducing context-switching for sales and operations teams.


Admin Configuration Note:

This feature requires setup of a dedicated Playbook API and associated quote types. Admin users can review API documentation or reach out to Customer Success for guided enablement support.
